A charming and uniquely scaled French mid 19th century Louis XVI st. Giltwood screen. The screen consist of three panels, with the central panel displaying its original mirror plate and French door like shape with mottled and beaded frames. The lower portions of the two outer panels are upholstered with a Neo-Classical st. fabric framed within a beaded mottled rectangular panel. Above are prints of classical scenes within a circular beaded frame and corner rosettes within a square border. At the top outer corners are richly carved rams heads. All three panels are attached by double hinges which allow the panels to move forwards or backwards, and the back is upholstered with French nails. All original gilt throughout. — Read Less
