A striking and most elegant French 19th century Louis XV st. Tulipwood, ormolu and Sèvres porcelain center table/desk. The table is raised by exceptional cabriole legs with beautiful pierced foliate fitted ormolu sabots and fine chutes leading up each leg with impressive richly chased pierced foliate corner mounts with striking finely detailed faces of bearded men. The scallop shaped apron displays a beautiful central fitted Sèvres porcelain plaque framed within a lovely intricately detailed floral ormolu band and flanked by remarkable seashell and foliate reserves set on a most decorative quarter veneered background. Above is the striking tulipwood top with a superb quarter veneered top showcasing the beautiful wood grain and framed within a floral and reeded wrap around ormolu gallery extending along the scallop shaped border. — Read Less
