A sensational Italian early 19th century Baroque giltwood and specimen marble side / center table. The beautiful table is raised by a stunning and wonderfully executed triangular rock designed base. The central supports are richly carved vines and branches with charming grape clusters. The frieze is decorated with fine oak leaf scrolled garland on a hammered background. The top displays a spectacular array of marble specimens laid out in patterns with rounded borders. Centered is a most impressive checkerboard design with Black Belgian marble, Brocatelle d’Espagne, Brèche Verte d'Égypte, Rosso Levanto, Sienna and onyx, to name but a few.
