An outstanding and most charming French 19th century Louis XVI st. Sèvres porcelain lidded tureen. The tureen is raised by a circular mottled porcelain base with a fine gilt border below hand painted wave like movements with intricately detailed colorful flowers and a lovely lattice design. At the center are three lightly curved supports with handsome paw feet leading up to the lovely bowl above. The body displays a graceful wrap around gilt foliate band and a striking array of colorful hand painted flowers with the same wave like movements and elegant lattice design. The removable lid displays a remarkable rinceau shaped foliate wrap around band at the border and additional graceful flowers centering the impressive top gilt acorn finial.
