A very charming French 19th century ormolu statue of cupid, signed Jean-Louis Grégoire. Raised on a molded Rouge Griotte marble circular base. The ormolu sculpture of cupid is on a terrain with his quiver of arrows hung on a tree trunk. The winged cupid aiming his bow and trains his eye on his shot. With all original gilt. Jean-Louis Grégoire (1840-1890) a renowned 19th century French sculptor. Trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and took part in Les Éxpositions de Paris.
