A handsome and high quality French 19th century Napoleon III period black Belgian marble, ormolu and patinated bronze garniture set. The three piece set displays two outer tazzas and a central clock with an impressive bust on top. Each patinated bronze tazza is raised by richly chased paw feet and an elegant tapered ormolu support below the circular stepped black Belgian marble base. Leading up each side are fine fluted designs and impressive finely detailed foliate and lions head handles. The tazzas above each display sensational and most decorative leaves and berries all set on a lovely etched background. At the center is the clock raised by similar striking paws with a beautiful and richly chased central foliate mount. At the center of the circular stepped black Belgian marble base is the clock face framed within a fine reeded ormolu bezel. At each side are the same impressive foliate and lions head handles. Above is the finely detailed patinated bronze bust of a handsome Roman warrior, raised on a mottled ormolu pedestal. All original gilt and patina throughout.
