A spectacular and extremely high quality French 19th century Louis XVI st. kingwood and ormolu buffet vitrine attributed to Francois Linke. The buffet is raised by stunning tapered spiral ormolu legs in a satin and burnish finish. At the frieze with rounded corners are finely chased ormolu bands and rosettes above each leg with a decorative ormolu central cabochon. The door and two side panes retain the original hand blown glass, framed within an intricate foliate and lattice ormolu band. At the central door is an extremely decorative ormolu band in rai-de-coeur pattern with rinceau shaped ormolu mounts at each corner and ormolu keyhole escutcheon. Inside is the original glass shelf and impressive adjustable ormolu brackets. Above is a decorative acanthus leaf ormolu band, all below the mottled white Carrara marble top. Wonderful proportions with all original gilt and hardware. — Read Less
