A very elegant pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. Belle Époque period Vert Antique marble and ormolu urns. Each urn is raised by a square marble base with ormolu trim, and marble socle. The marble body displays a striking richly chased satyr mask at each side joined by a fine berried laurel and beaded ormolu band. At the center are exquisite swaging floral garlands with fine folaite designs and grape clusters. The top is decorated with an ormolu tied reeded band and, acanthus leaf mounts below the acorn finial. — Read Less
