A sensational and large scale Italian early 18th century white Carrara marble and Stone fountain. This stunning fountain is raised on a rectangular Stone block below a square Carrara marble plinth. Above is a wonderful baluster shaped support displaying a mottled and rounded band. Atop of the baluster shaped support rests the impressive hand carved Carrara marble basin with a deeply recessed band before the mottled and ogee edge. The basin is accented by three masks of Zephyrus, from where the water spouts. Inside the bowl and raised by a rock like shaped marble support is a unique and elongated acanthus leaf reserve from where additional water escapes and fills the basin. — Read Less
