An adorable and finely detailed Italian 19th century White Carrara marble statue entitled "The Broken Plate", signed F. Galli Firenza, 1885. This emotional and high quality marble sculpture depicts a young girl wiping her tears as she cries due to dropping her plate of pasta. Her plate is broken in her hands with only a few fettuccine noodles hanging over the side of the spoon and plate. This young girl is standing in front of a step with an open book on top, appearing to have been sitting before the crashing of the plate.
