A superb and most charming Italian 19th century white Carrara marble fountain. The wall mounted fountain is raised by a rectangular base with a mottled border below the striking and wonderfully sculpted central support. The support displays a scrolled design with unique fruit below a large detailed acanthus leaf and fine scrolled movements. The demi lune shaped bowl displays a reeded underside and beautiful foliate patterns at the rim. The face displays fine rinceaux shaped patterns centered by a handsome roaring lion's head from where the water comes out. All below an elegant palmette at the top. — Read Less
