A sensational and large scale Italian 19th century Pietra Dura marble plaque/wall decor. This stunning plaque is set on a Brocatelle d'Espagne marble background set within a mottled white Carrara marble frame. The plaque displays exceptional intricately detailed inlaid blooming flowers and scrolling movements seemingly growing out of a wonderfully detailed urn. The urn contains two gadroon like designs made of Brocatelle d'Espagne marble surrounded by Sienna marble and Rouge Griotte with a reserve of white Carrara marble and Noir de Sablé marble accents. The urn is flanked by a pair of Grey and Sienna marble scrolls at the base of the urn and a pair of foliate white Carrara scrolls around the neck.
