The oblong shaped centerpiece is raised by lovely scalloped movements at the base with most decorative scrolled foliate designs and a lovely mottled wrap around band at the socle shaped pedestal. The body displays a striking wonderfully executed central reserve of a handsome man, likely Apollo, in a chariot pulled by horses on one side and a beautiful scene of personages by the water taking fishing nets out of their boats each framed within a fine mottled border.
