A most handsome Italian 18th century walnut, burl walnut and iron desk. The desk is raised by fine bun shaped feet below impressive turned baluster shaped legs each connected by an 'X' stretcher with a mottled border. The straight apron displays two drawers each decorated with beautiful burl walnut recessed panels with fine iron keyhole escutcheons and mottled borders. The solid top displays five smaller drawers over two levels decorated in the same manner and displaying iron keyhole escutcheons and flanked by scrolled volutes sides.
