A elegant Italian 18th century Louis XVI period giltwood and gray marble freestanding console. The console is raised by four circular tapered fluted legs ending with a foliate design above a topie shaped support, with the top of each leg displaying a band of small cabochons below a Rai de Coeur design. The Apron is decorated by a central rams head with a square recessed panel flanked by two rectangular recessed panels with two S scrolled foliate movements. Above each leg are square panels with a foliate rosette and the sides are decorated with the same decorative scrolled foliate panels along with the foliate rosettes. Above is the original gray and white veined marble top. — Read Less
