This storytelling Capriccio style painting is wonderfully detailed with individuals conversing about a landscape of ancient ruins. The ruins around the entirety of the space depict fluted stone columns, honoring statues, storytelling scenic carvings, and intermittent foliage atop the stone structures. This interesting and historical painting is framed within a rectangular Giltwood frame with mottled edges and berried scrolling floral designs in each corner and central reserve. The inner edge has a finely carved Coeur-de-Rai band surrounding the painting.
