A lovely and most decorative true pair of French and German collaboration 19th century Meissen Porcelain and Ormolu parrots. Each stunning Meissen Porcelain statue is raised by a pierced Ormolu base of foliate scrolls punctuated by floral accents. The bases support white Porcelain rocky outcrops decorated with hand painted vines and flowers. Atop the rocky outcrops are the stunning perched parrots with wings outstretched, painted in exquisite detail in shades of green with accents of red and cream. The Meissen stamp is visible above the Ormolu base on the back of the statue.
