  • Guillaume Coustou, (1677-1746). Coustou was commissioned by Louis XV for the horse pond at the Chateau de Marly. In 1794 they were moved to the Place de la Concorde at the eastern end of the Champs-Élysées and later in 1894, these famous horses earned a place at the Louvre museum where they can still be seem today.
