  • Henri Alfred Jacquemart (24 February 1824 - 4 January 1896) was a French sculptor and animalier born in Paris. He studied under Paul Delaroche and sculptor Jean Baptiste Jules Klagman. He entered the École des Beaux-Arts in 1845 and exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1847-1879 receiving medals in 1857, 1863 and 1865. Many of his works were cast by Val d'Osne foundry and Christofle. He became a Chevalier of the Légion d'Honneur in 1870.
