A sensational set of four Italian 19th century Terra Cotta statues. Each of the four wonderful statues showcases a man wearing period attire and seemingly caught in a pose while performing a particular task of the day, while all being raised on a short circular ground like base. Two of the four figures are of the same individual, one holding his burly coat and the other with his coat draped over his shoulders with a fierce expression while holding a rifle and ammunition around his waist. He wears a distinct pointed and rounded hat with tassels and a scarf tied around his neck. The figure holding two baskets is dressed in casual attire with a coat draped over one of his woven baskets, with the other basket at his side. The last figure is also wearing a hooded coat tied off around his neck which is covering a bagpipe as he looks off into the distance. All original warm patina throughout. — Read Less
