A handsome pair of Italian early 19th century Louis XVI st. Cherrywood and ebonized Fruitwood consoles. The freestanding demi lune consoles are raised by four square curved legs with their top capital being decorated with a one sided front band of dentil patterned ebonized Fruitwood and Cherrywood inlays. Atop each of the four legs is a flush rectangular column with three vertical inlaid fluted designs. These four rectangular columns flank the front and two side panels with their straight friezes. These three identical panels have flush overlapping rectangular designs around the edges. The tops are tastefully decorated with two curved outer inlaid bands that surround the butterfly veneered central inlay. The tops also display a dentil patterned protruding gallery designed with ebonized Fruitwood and Cherrywood inlays. — Read Less
