A fine and very elegant pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. White Carrara, Rouge Griotte, Campan Rubané Marble, and Ormolu pedestals. This lovely and impressive pair of pedestals are raised on square supports made of Rouge Griotte marble below a mottled white Carrara marble plinth. The tapered bodies display Rouge Griotte marble edges around each side with recessed white Carrara marble panels. The front of each pedestal showcases a stunning and richly chased reserve of a tied and flowing bow with cascading floral vines of various types of flowers. Above the body is a thin mottle edge band of Campan Rubané marble which supports the square white Carrara Marble band mounted with a bow and flowing ribbons with foliate decorations. The capital above is made of a square Rouge Griotte marble with mottled edges and a flat top.
