A beautiful and high quality pair of French 19th century Louis XV st. Rosewood and Ormolu side tables. Each exceptional single drawer side table is raised by four tapered cabriole legs with Ormolu foliate sabots on the two front legs. The arbalest shaped front apron and both side aprons display bombee shapes to showcase the wonderful butterfly veneers. The front facing single drawer displays a scalloped central pierced Ormolu keyhole escutcheon with an elegant Ormolu key. The drawer is designed with butterfly veneers and edged with narrow Rosewood inlays. The panels on both sides display exquisite quarterly veneers and edged similar to the front drawer with its Rosewood inlays. The scalloped top is decorated by quarterly butterflied veneers in the center with a double layered edge of Rosewood inlays.
