A sensational and extremely high quality pair of French 19th century Louis XV st. Belle Époque period tulipwood, ormolu and Sèvres porcelain side tables. Each exceptional and most elegant side table is raised by superb slender cabriole legs with fitted foliate ormolu sabots and lovely chutes that lead up each leg to richly chased floral corner mounts in a striking satin and burnished finish. The chutes also lead up the border of each leg extending across the beautiful scalloped shaped apron. At the front is one drawer centered by a striking finely detailed pierced foliate ormolu keyhole escutcheon set on a wonderfully executed and most decorative inlaid lattice parquetry design. The drawers open to reveal the unique and extremely high quality original curved lock. The sides and back are decorated in the same manner. Above is the original charming fitted Sèvres porcelain plaque with finely detailed colorful hand painted foliate fruits and flowers framed within a mottled original band and set on an additional beautiful charmwood lattice parquetry design. — Read Less
