An attractive and extremely decorative pair of French 19th century Japanese Lacquered Earthenware, patinated Bronze and Ormolu vases. Each intricately detailed vase is raised by four Ormolu elephant head feet holding a patinated Bronze socle which supports the Earthenware vase. The lacquered vases depict Japanese Plovers flying and resting on branches, on a background of traditional Japanese geometric patterns.
