A most impressive and large scale pair of French early 19th century First Empire period patinated bronze and ormolu Brûle Parfums, circa 1805. The pair are raised by a triangular shaped patinated bronze base below an ormolu mottled support with a Coeur de Rai design. The lidded urn is decorated by a laurel ormolu band and a bottom palmette designed mount, urns of prosperity with flames and a central acorn finial. The removable lid is topped by an ormolu flame. The urn is elevated by three patinated bronze vertical tapered supports with bottom ormolu paws, with a palmette above and acanthus capitals at the top. The supports are joined by X designs with a central ormolu rosette. Extremely decorative. — Read Less
