A very impressive and large scale Italian 19th century Terra Cotta statue and base. The lighter hue terra cotta base is in three parts with a hexagonal shape below the column, accented with foliate and geometric designs. The monumental statue above of a nude maiden, with classical drape around her hips, is holding a rose in one hand and arching the other arm. Her upswept hair is decorated with a pearl band and her facial expression is very poignant. All original patina throughout. — Read Less
