  • Luca Madrass (1848-1919) was a French sculptor of Italian origin. He began his studies in Rome before moving to Paris. He studied at l'École des Beaux-Arts where his teacher was Pierre-Jules Cavelier and moved on to join the studio of Carrier-Belleuse. Throughout his career he received numerous honorable mentions and medals and exposed his work in many Salons. He obtained French nationality and became a member of la Société des Artistes Français in 1890.
