A handsome and high quality French 19th century Transitional st. Tulipwood, Kingwood, Ormolu and Rouge Royale marble cabinet. This stunning two door cabinet is raised by richly decorated foliate scrolled Ormolu sabots flanking the scalloped frieze. At the center of the frieze is an Ormolu reserve of a seashell flanked by 'S' scrolled acanthus leaves below the two quarter veneered Tulipwood doors bordered by Kingwood. The doors are decorated by Ormolu keyhole escutcheons and an attractive vertical Ormolu band with decorative foliate designs between the two doors with scalloped tops. The doors open to reveal three adjustable shelves. The two doors are flanked by impressive top Ormolu mounts with masculine bearded faces amidst scrolls and a bottom circular rosettes. Above is the original fitted Rouge Royale marble top bordered by a Fleur de Lys decorated Ormolu band. All original gilding throughout. — Read Less
