A wonderful and finely detailed French 19th century Ormolu and Patinated Bronze statue titled Allegorie de L'amour Maternel, signed Fraikin and Vittoz. The stunning statue's title means "Allegory of Maternal Love" and is raised on a circular Patinated Bronze base with a fine mottled band. Above stands the Mother next to a tree trunk, with a quiver next to her and arrows on the ground. A fine flowing garment is wrapped around her leg and flows behind her while she holds a charming winged cherub on her shoulder. Wonderful expressions and exquisitely detailed throughout.
