A charming and very elegant French 19th century Louis XVI st. patinated bronze, ormolu, and Rouge Griotte marble statue of a cherub signed Lemire. The statue is raised on an oval Rouge Griotte marble above a fine ormolu band. Above is the charming winged cherub seemingly stringing his bow while seated on a pedestal and with his quiver resting at his feet. Wonderful attention to detail and subject matter.
