A beautiful French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu and hand blown glass lantern. The lantern is centered by four lights at the center with rich foliate scrolled arms, adorned with leaves and foliate bobeches. The lantern displays a most decorative Vitruvian scrolled bottom pattern with richly chased rosettes and a reeded design. The design extends upwards framing the original hand blown curved glass. Above fine berried laurel movements and richly chased rams heads are connected by a Les Oves band. All joined to the canopy with a fine hammered design and beautiful foliate movements all in a rich satin and burnished finish. All original gilt throughout. — Read Less
