A striking French 19th century Louis XV st. Rosewood and ormolu side table/center table signed by Victor Raulin. The table is raised by impressive elegant cabriole legs with exceptional fitted pierced foliate sabots and fine chutes leading up to exquisite richly chased foliate corner mounts in a superb satin and burnished finish. The scalloped shape apron displays beautiful wonderfully executed inlaid marquetry with two drawers and two pullouts decorated with striking ormolu mounts. Above is the magnificent sunburst veneered top showcasing the remarkable Rosewood grain.
Victor Raulin was a French Ébeniste and Bronzier active in Paris in the late 19th century/early 20th century. His atelier was located at 226 Boulevard St. Germain where he followed in his father's footsteps specializing in marquetry and bronze work. He exhibited in the Paris World Exposition in 1878 and 1889 where he was awarded silver medals. — Read Less
