A lovely and uniquely detailed French 19th century Louis XV st. Ormolu, Crystal and Rock Crystal chandelier. This nine arm, eighteen light chandelier is centered by a most decorative pierced diamond shaped Crystal with a central tear drop. Above the bottom finial is a collection of rosette and tear drop shaped Crystals mounted to a circular Ormolu plate. The eight scrolled Ormolu arms are decorated with an exceptional array of tear drop, kite shaped, and Amethyst crystals throughout. The cage is centered around an electrified lower section with a Crystal dagger and a gentle spray of 'S' scrolled Ormolu bands with rosette and tear drop crystals at each end. Throughout the cage are additional scrolled Ormolu arms with hanging tear drop and amethyst Crystals. The cage leads into a reeded Crystal reserve below the top crown which is decorated with more scrolling Ormolu arms and hanging tear drop Crystals.
