A magnificent French 19th century Louis XV st. Napoleon III period giltwood and white Carrara marble center table. The table is raised by striking cabriole legs with beautiful scrolled foliate feet and richly carved flowers and large acanthus leaves. Each leg is connected by an opulent two sided stretcher with lightly curved supports leading to impressive and richly carved central seashell reserves amidst wonderful arrays of finely detailed leaves and flowers. The scalloped shaped apron is centered by an additional richly carved seashell reserve amidst outstanding floral carvings and foliate movements set on a most decorative lattice pattern. Above is the original white Carrara marble top with a fine mottled border, which repeats the beautiful shape of the table below. All original gilt throughout. — Read Less
