A very high quality and most attractive French 19th century Louis XV st. Belle Epoque period Kingwood and Ormolu coffee table attributed to Francois Linke. The table is raised by elegant slender tapering cabriole legs decorated by a top foliate and scrolled mount above the Ormolu chute and bottom wrap around sabot with a front chased acanthus leaf. The scalloped shaped apron is richly decorated by a central crab like shell ormolu mount which is synonymous with Linke pieces. The mount is flanked by 'S' scrolled trim which has an intertwined foliate band and sides are decorated in the same manner. The top is surrounded by a fine mottled Ormolu gallery with two acanthus leaf intertwined branches creating handles and surrounding a wonderful Kingwood parquetry inlaid top.
