A stunning and most impressive French 19th century Empire st. Ebony, flamed Mahogany, ormolu, and Vert de Patricia marble buffet. The four door, three drawer buffet is raised by six elegant ormolu ball feet below the straight frieze with a fine mottled border. The doors each showcase the exceptional flamed Mahogany wood grain decorated with unique and most decorative inlaid Ebony designs of lovely finely detailed swaging berried laurel garlands, palmettes, and lovely foliate wreaths. At the center is a striking ormolu staff with six impressive richly sculpted reeded Vert de Patricia columns tied with beautiful fluted ormolu bands flanking the doors and superb curved sides. The central drawer displays wonderful inlaid Ebony Greek keys while the outer drawers each display a fine Les Oves designed ormolu band with a richly chased pierced ormolu mount of a lyre and foliate designs with each displaying elegant tied fluted ormolu pulls.
