Elie-Joseph Laurent painter and sculptor born in Lyon France. He was a student at L'ecole des Beaux-Arts de Lyon. He started exhibiting in the Salon in 1870 and became recognized by the Society of the French Artists in 1899. Some of his works are displayed in the Museum of Lyon, France.
