A handsome Chinese export mid 19th century Famille Rose porcelain and French ormolu mounted oval centerpiece. The centerpiece is raised by four pierced supports with a central acanthus leaf flanked by 'S' scrolled movements. The porcelain bowl is surrounded by a bottom intertwined band while the top has an elegant beaded rim. On both sides are geometric shaped handles with berried laurel wreaths. The porcelain bowl has a very decorative scene of the daily social life of figures conversing amongst each other. Wonderful colors and proportions. — Read Less
