A superb Italian early 19th century giltwood and Giallo Reale marble center table. The rectangular table is raised by most decorative and elegantly scrolled legs with fine hoof feet, large acanthus leaves and impressive richly carved rams heads at each corner. Each leg is connected by a beautiful geometric shaped pierced stretcher, centered by a finely detailed mottled basket with blossoming flowers. The pierced frieze displays luxuriant Rinceau scrolled foliate designs framed within a twisted ribbon design and centered by a richly carved giltwood reserve portraying Charle Macne, a European prince. Above is the original Giallo Reale marble top which repeats the shape of the table. All original gilt throughout. — Read Less
