A remarkable French 19th century Gothic st. wrought iron, gilt metal and glass chandelier. The eight arm sixteen light chandelier is centered by an impressive and most decorative amber colored glass panes centering a circular central pane all set within a wrought iron frame. A most decorative gilt metal twisted rope fillet extends along the border with striking foliate finials below each arm. Beautiful pierced scrolled movements lead up each arm and are adorned with fine fleur de lys reserves and displaying striking turret designed bobeches. Additional fitted amber colored glass panes extend along each side of the octagonal shaped chandelier decorated with elegant scrolled wrought iron movement. At the center are eight light bulbs offering a warm glow and showcasing the beautiful amber colored glass and unique decorative architectural shape of the chandelier. Eight elegantly curved supports adorned with fine gilt metal leaves lead up to the majestic crown shaped top with a pierced clover and scrolled design.
