Paul-Edouard Delabrierre

Paul-Edouard Delabrierre (29 March 1829 – 1912) was a French animalier sculptor born in Paris. He originally studied painting before transitioning to sculpture and finding his vocation. He displayed over 70 of his exceptional sculptures at the prestigious Salon des Arts exhibition although best know for his monumental work called L’Equitation (1857) which can still be seen on the facade of the Louvre.
