Louis Guillaume Fulconis

Louis Guillaume Fulconis – A French sculptor born in 1818. He exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1857 to 1872 and created statues in marble, plaster, and bronze. Some of his notable works include Actéon for the Louvre Court and Princess Clémence for the Luxembourg Garden. Fulconis was inspired by the Mercury and the Wheel of Fortune sculptures by Jean de Bologne, with his Mercury sculpture currently exhibited at the Museo Nazionale del Bargello in Florence. He passed away in 1873.
