Claude Charles Saunier

Claude Charles Saunier (1735-1807) was the son and grandson of master cabinetmakers who became one of the best ébénistes under the reign of King Louis XVI. He received master cabinetmaker status at the age of 17 in 1752 and took over the family business in 1765. He became known for original works with recognizable characteristics, elegance, and linear designs of very high quality pieces.
