A striking and extremely elegant true pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu and Vert Campan marble lamps attributed to Henry Dasson. Each lamp is raised by a circular base with a fine bottom ormolu fillet and a most decorative wrap around beaded band at the elegantly curved socle shaped pedestal support. The Vert Campan marble bodies are encased with striking fluted and foliate ormolu bases with exceptional scrolled acanthus leaves leading up each side to beautiful richly chased maidens with their hair tied in an updo and connected by charming finely detailed berried laurel branches tied with a central ribbon. The remarkable lightly curved neck above displays a most decorative spiral fluted design with a top Les Oves designed wrap around ormolu band.
