A magnificent Italian 18th century Baroque st. giltwood and Sarrancolin marble console. The freestanding console is raised by elegant cabriole legs with graceful fluted feet and richly carved foliate designs each connected by an impressive and most decorative X shaped stretcher with exceptional scrolled foliate designs and a pierced central opulent scrolled reserve and seashell. Above each leg are wonderful foliate designs flanking the outstanding pierced scrolled frieze with additional striking foliate movements and a superb pierced central reserve below a finely detailed etched floral band set on an exceptional lattice designed background.
