A stunning true pair of French 19th century Renaissance st. black Belgian marble, ormolu and patinated bronze, five arm candelabras, attributed to F. Barbedienne. Each candelabra is raised by a triangular black Belgian marble base with concave sides, cut corners and a fine mottled border. The legs display handsome paw feet and finely detailed sphinx centering large palmettes. Above is a beautiful maiden with acorns in her hair and the lightly tapered circular fluted central support, with a fine ormolu side mount. Each of the five arms have a fluted design and are adorned with pierced ormolu finial pendants. At the top is a striking and richly chased open wing heron. — Read Less
