This small-scale pair of Continental 19th century wrought iron and ormolu cannons is sure to be a conversation piece on anyone’s desk, coffee table or mantel.
A little bit of history:
The sculptor of these cannons did take art license with the interpretation of the pieces and of course their size, but we believe these could be based off of the The Gribeauval guns used by Napoleon between 1765 and 1774. Napoleon insisted on speed and mobility the lighter Gribeauval cannon provided the flexibility he desired.
