A striking Spanish 18th century Baroque ebonized fruitwood, rosewood, burl walnut and bone specimen cabinet. The cabinet is raised by elegant bun feet. The front facade displays ten visible drawers and one central door. Each drawer displays stunning and intricately inlaid scrolled foliate bone designs and turned bone pulls. The door displays additional foliate inlays and impressive columns below an architectural capital which also opens as a drawer. The door opens to reveal the finished rosewood interior with an ebonized fruitwood and bone band and original cast iron hardware. At the center is a cartouche of eight drawers. The cartouche can be pulled out to reveal four hidden drawers behind it. The drawers display most decorative ebonized fruitwood faces with a fine bone double band and bone pull within a rosewood frame. The sides are decorated with lovely geometric patterns with burl walnut, ebonized fruit wood and bone inlays centered by a handsome cast iron handle. The top is decorated in the same beautiful manner. — Read Less
