A most elegant and high quality French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu, frosted and cut glass, twelve light chandelier , in the manner of Henri Dasson. The chandelier with the a bottom acorn finial has four 'C' scrolled maidens flanking central oval frosted glass with a beveled border. The oval frosted glass inserts are surrounded by a lattice beaded design with rosettes, all below a pierced acanthus leaf wreath. The classical maidens have 'C' scrolled arms which lead to saucers with grape vines and fluted candle cups with beaded bobeches. The bottom of the chandelier is held by four ormolu tied fabric designed supports with a floral hanging crown. The top crown is decorated with an ormolu foliate spray.
